BREAKING: Weston Park has been cordoned off
South Yorkshire Police are yet to release a statement
Kieran BarnesWestern Park, opposite the Children’s Hospital on Western Bank, has been cordoned off this morning.
The park has been taped off and police officers are guarding the entrances.
An inner cordon has also been placed inside the park, close to the band stand.
Western Park Museum has confirmed on Twitter that it will be closed all day due to the temporary closure of the park.
A number of police cars and vans are parked up at the scene, but South Yorkshire Police are yet to released a statement.
