Royal Holloway is the seventh best university in the UK for Music

Play that tune

Royal Holloway has been ranked as the seventh best university in the UK for Music in the latest Guardian university rankings.

Our university beat the likes of Edinburgh and the Royal Academy of Music, and scored an impressive 92.9 out of 100 for that course.

Overall, we are ranked as the 45th best university in the UK, a disappointing drop of five places since last year. This year we were at least ranked higher than Goldsmiths, Leicester and University of the Arts London.

The top ten are Cambridge, Oxford, St Andrews, Surrey, Loughborough, Durham, Imperial, Lancaster, Warwick and Bath.

Royal Holloway scored particularly highly for the following subjects:

Music – 7th

Psychology – 8th

Royal Holloway received a score of 63.4 out of 100 overall, with our ranking for “career after six months” the most responsible for our low overall score. Hopefully this won’t mean bad luck for this year’s graduates!
