Remain calm, this is not a drill. A gin festival is coming to Oxford

So many gins, so many opportunities

After Brexit, Trump and losing to Cambridge in the varsity rugby, we can finally rest assured that a God truly exists. The world is at peace again. There is a gin festival coming to Oxford.

From 21-23 July, the UK tour of the Gin Festival will arrive at Oxford’s Town Hall. The tour, founded by husband and wife Jym and Marie Harris, promises exclusive gins, cocktail masterclasses and further validation that, yes, you are a psychopath.

The couple said: “We first dreamt up Gin Festival back in 2012. We love gin but every tasting session we attended and ‘gin bar’ we visited, left us disappointed – we wanted more! More interesting gins, more exciting gins, more knowledge and the right garnishes.

“We’re incredibly excited to be at the jaw-dropping Oxford Town Hall. It’s almost as beautiful a sight as all the gin we’ll be bringing! There will be more than 100 gins, including exclusive gins available nowhere else, and unlimited tonic supplied by our event partner Fever-Tree.

“Gin lovers will also get the chance to meet gin brands in person, attend masterclasses from industry experts and try some gin cocktails.”

Tickets cost £10 and are available here.
