Man taken to QMC with knife wound

Police have arrested three men and two women following a stabbing at a house in Sherwin Road.

A 50-year-old man suffering from stab wounds was taken to hospital after the incident which occurred yesterday evening.

Notts Police have taped off  the house in Lenton, next door to Cotswold outdoor shop, and forensics are at the scene.

One student, who did not wish to be named, said he had seen police and an ambulance on the scene.

He said: “We were walking back from the pub at about 11.30pm and there were loads of police, an unmarked Audi and an ambulance as well.

“We have some friends who live closer to the house who said they heard lots of screaming, and that’s all we know. The police were already here when we got back and the ambulance was just leaving I think, so I’m not sure what time it all happened.”
