Dead Marilyn: An easy Halloween tutorial

It’s just the right amount of fit and scary

This is a quick and simple “dead Marilyn”look that anyone can do. Boys just lose the lippy and you’ll be a scary half skeleton.

First up, apply a think liquid liner flick, a beauty spot and a red lip to one side of the face. Then draw a dividing line down the middle of the face, using a black eyeliner pencil. Dashing horizontally so it gives the appearance of the skin ripping away.

Next up use face paint and a sponge to cover the other half of the face, dipping the sponge in water really helps. Then the fun part; start my outlining the eye socket with a black eyeliner, following the natural curve. Then fill it in (black face paint with a black eye shadow to set works well). Then draw around the tip of the nose, and fill it in.

After this, draw a line starting from the middle of the lip up past the cheek bone until it reaches the end of your face. Then draw another two lines from the top and bottom of the lip, following the same pattern. Try and feel where you’re teeth naturally end, and draw teeth lines up until that point. Just fill in the rest of the lines to make the edge of the mouth appear hollow.

Next get some fake blood and use your finger to draw a line around the neck. Then hold the bottle and dab dots across this line, the blood will naturally fall down and create a nice dripped affect!

To finish the look off if you’re brave, then apply a fake white contact lens to the skeletal side of the face. Girls if you want to enhance the Marilyn look just  grab a blonde wig and a white dress! This Halloween costume is super cheap, and only takes 20 minuets to do, giving you more time to predrink.

Where to buy the products

Contact lenses: Stall on Northumberland street outside McDonalds, Xtras or  Magic Box. These are really hard to get in, and feel very strange if you don’t already wear contacts, but make the look a lot more frightening!

Fake blood and face paint: Xtras and Claire’s accessories are super cheap.

Black eyeliners and eye shadow: Superdrug (£2.99)
