Manchester soars into Guardian’s top 30 unis

Nailed it

Manchester has soared three places from last year to become the Guardian’s 29th best university.

Last year we ranked 32nd in The Guardian’s 2016 University rankings, and this year we’ve also been recognised as the third best university for Music and the fifth best for journalism studies.

The University has also been ranked in the top 10 for subjects including Accounting & Finance, Anthropology and Physics.

Whilst being awarded several top-10 subjects, we have fallen behind other Russell-Group universities such as Nottingham (28th), Leeds (23rd) and Birmingham (17th).

But Manchester is still ahead of other large universities such as Sheffield (42nd), Liverpool (59th), and of course Manc Met at 77th.
