Student Union votes to boycott the tabloid in its shops

Manchester students’ union has voted to stop selling The Sun in its shops, following a debate on Wednesday night.
A twitter post on the union’s page said “after a short discussion, the panel agree to boycott the selling of The Sun”
It becomes the 16th university in the UK to ban the tabloid, which is the country’s best selling daily newspaper.
The debate came in response to the nationwide ‘No More Page 3’ campaign, which argues the popular feature makes women seen as sexual objects.
