Best dressed on campus: Deadline season

Deadlines are looming but style is booming

This week has been a momentous week in Liverpool as we were graced with a whole two days of sun. For some brief moments, not a cloud could be seen in sky. Inevitably, half of the student body had their shorts and shades on, whilst the other, more sceptical half, were sweltering in the SJ in their winter wear. We’ve rounded up the best looks of the week, vote for your fave below.

Emma, Philosophy with Communication and Media, 2nd Year

Emma’s colourful vintage jumper is perfect for March’s unpredictable weather. She pairs it with trendy gold hoops and mom jeans, perfectly matching her black Air Forces to her chic fringed bag to complete her look.

Cameron, History, 2nd Year

Cameron’s look is calm and collected. His outfit is well thought out, and his smart jacket coordinates with his checked shirt perfectly. Cameron contrasts his formal attire with classic skinny jeans and New Balances to make it perfect for a good study session.

Kaining, English, Masters

Kaining’s quirky ensemble is ideal for Spring. Her clashing colours and prints are very on trend, and her bright fuchsia rucksack stands out as a bold statement piece. The baby pink suede baseball cap is a key accessory this season, and gives her outfit an edge.

Welber, International Business, 2nd Year

Welber’s look stands out from the crowd. His slogan hat is great for Liverpool’s rainy days, and he layers it up with a printed hoody and statement scarf. Welber perfectly balances this look, knowing that such bold pieces look best when combined with an otherwise understated look.

Becky, Veterinary Medicine, 1st Year

I’ve gotta say Becky, that coat is to die for. She may have been caught in a typical Liverpudlian shower, but Becky’s certainly come equipped. Her spotty umbrella is ideal for brightening up a miserable day, and her sheepskin vintage style coat is cosy and classic. If we had hair as cool as her, we wouldn’t cover it up with a hat or hood either! The addition of a choker is very on trend, and we are a fan of the black military style boots too.

Josh, Business Management, 2nd Year

Josh’s vintage Tommy Hilfiger puffer jacket is his statement item in this look. We love his fresh white trainers that match his t shirt, creating the perfect balance of light and dark fabric.

Georgia, History, 2nd Year

Georgia is quintessentially cool in her fur coat and round specs. We love the fishnet tights under her mom jeans – she’s nailed this trend perfectly. Georgia finishes off her outfit with a pair of classic DMs.

Jack, Psychology, 3rd Year

Jack looks pleased with himself and we know why: he’s looking extra fly on this sunny March morning. His look is bang on trend with a crisp white tee and oversized vintage coat, while his beanie is perfect for keeping off the Northern chill.

Zeena, Accounting and Finance, 2nd Year

Zeena’s amazing candy cotton hair gives us some serious hair envy. Her vintage biker jacket and matching boots go perfectly with her simple neutral grey jumper and cropped black jeans, and we love the round frames she’s flaunting.
