Liverpool students are the second richest in the UK

The locals must hate us

The NatWest student living survey results are out and Liverpool students have been ranked the second richest.

This is measured by a variety of income sources, parents, student loan, banks, etc. Liverpool got an average of £1,425.01 per semester, much higher than the national average of £1,192.15.

Portsmouth took the top spot with students there getting an average of £1,516.98 per semester, and those at Sheffield seem to be struggling the most with an average of £934.98 per semester.

However, Liverpool uni is considering raising it’s fees above the old £9,000 limit. So maybe only the rich will survive now.

With an average weekly rent of £99.35, it’s no wonder we’ve all got so much money. In fact, Liverpool has been ranked the second most cost effective city in the UK for students.

This being said, we definitely like to spend, as Liverpool’s students spend the third most in the UK on clothes shoes and accessories, at an average of £9.41 a week, £2.06 higher than the national average.

Well, you’ve got it to spend and at least you’ll always look good.
