The top ten spring styles we love

campus campus style Clothes fashion looks sale spring students summer

The sun is just starting to peek out from behind clouds that have dominated the Liverpudlian skies for the last couple of months. Coats are begin to unzip, scarves are being left at home, and all our budding fashionistas are coming out of hibernation.

We’re now well into Semester 2 meaning there’s been plenty of time for students to up their fashion game. Who do you think was the real winner on campus this week?

Maya, Communications, Media and Portuguese, fresher

Maya plays into this season’s key trend of relaxed tailoring, teaming cropped pinstripe pants with a cream knit. Completed with the ever stylish Superstar trainers, this girl knows what’s going on. Lookin’ fine, Maya.

Mateusz, Electrical Engineering & Electronics, fresher

This ensemble that Mateusz has put together screams laid-back sophistication. Man-bun, specs, checked scarf and tanned lace-up boots – you just know you’ll find him in some cool coffee shop on Bold Street (the coffee cup is evidence).

Hollie, Journalism, second year

When it comes to the hipster student, Hollie has it down to a T. She probably fancies Michael Cera. Everything about this look screams effortless chill. Comfy and well coordinated, we think this outfit is a winner combo for the typical Smithdown resident.

Ella, Business Economics, third year

Ella’s gorgeous outfit is perfect for the student who makes a bit more of an effort for uni than her peers. Faux-fur gilets aren’t going anywhere just yet, and that pastel pink tone compliments her otherwise all-black outfit. To finish it off, she’s wearing a pair of classic converse, which stops this look from being too OTT for lectures.

Jonny, Psychology, second year

Somebody saw our Boys in Sheepskin Coats shoot – Jonny wears a vintage-inspired shearling bomber, rolled up jeans and sneaks. We love your look, Jonny.

Emily, Law, second year

Emily shows us how vintage can extend beyond oversized Ellesse T-shirts and 90s bombers. Her cropped trousers steal the show.

Dom, Geography, third year

Dom’s look is so on trend across campus right now. This ensemble is well put together – bombers are blowing up right now (pun intended), and the dark green contrasts well against his pastel checked shirt.

Hannah, Psychology, fresher

Hannah stays warm with her oversized suede bomber from a local vintage shop. It looks super chill teamed with these high-waisted jeans and cropped t-shirt.

Callum, Criminology, fresher

It’s another suede bomber! The fresher teams his with a snapback and checked flannel shirt. Cool, relaxed, not trying to hard – we like it.

Jenny, International Politics Policy & Business, fresher

Jenny’s on fleeeeeek. We love her bobble hat, both stylish and practical, and contrasts her blonde locks nicely.  So girl next-door.
