According to the Facebook event, there will be a ‘Pooch Parade’ in Leeds on the 23rd April at Roundhay Park from 11 am to 2 pm. The event is a sponsored charity walk for BASIK – a family-run organisation that raises funds and awareness for children in Kenya who suffer in poverty.

Everyone is welcome to take part, especially dogs. There will be several activities throughout the day including: a (hopefully sunny) 1.5 km walk around the park, an easter egg hunt along the route, a raffle for both humans and pets, refreshments and  a free ‘doggy bag’ for all of the walking participants.

The Event page finishes: ‘We plan to go ahead come rain or shine, so get your walking boots and leads at the ready! See you there!!

And yes, you can come along even if you don’t have a dog. Just try and stop me.
