Leeds ranked 35th out of 60 for best-value University

Even Manchester beat us

Expert Market has recently compiled a list of the best value for money universities for students preparing for UCAS applications and open days. Not only did the University of Leeds not make the top ten, it didn’t even make the top thirty: we’re number 35 out of 60.

They cross-referenced cost and expense data like tuition fees, accommodation costs and the cost of a local pint with the income and opportunities that students receive after graduation. The rankings show which universities are the best investment.

Loughborough University, Keele University, the University of Warwick, Newcastle University and Cardiff University were the top five. Even the University of Manchester beat Leeds at 13th.

We might not be best value, but we’d definitely win the prettiest uni award

The only consolation is that northern universities were predominantly better than the southern ones.
