There’s a Women’s march in Leeds this Saturday

It’s a march in solidarity with women across America

In case you somehow missed it, which quite frankly would be impossible, Trump’s inauguration is this Friday. That is why, on Saturday 21st January, the first official day of Trump’s presidency, women across the UK are marching in solidarity with women in America, and across the world.

Trump’s win was disheartening for a lot of people, people who supported Hillary, and people who were simply against Trump’s campaign that relied almost exclusively on bullying, sexism, and racism. That is why people of all genders are being invited, not to an anti-Trump march, but to a celebration of equality.

It’s a sister march of the main event in Washington DC, but nevertheless, over 2000 people have expressed interest in attending the march in Leeds, and the message from those attending is clear: the politics of fear and division has no place in 2017.

Leeds’ march starts at 12 noon at Briggate.
