Leeds is officially Britain’s fastest growing city

How could it not tbh

Figures released recently by Grant Thornton’s Vibrant Economy Index indicates that Leeds is the fastest growing city in the country due to high levels of economic affluence and opportunity. This is measured according to diverse factors such as happiness and success, and apparently Leeds is the epitome of both.

The statistics revealed that Leeds is creating a high frequency of jobs and prosperity, alongside encouraging budding businesses and a pioneering ethos to aid driving the future economic growth of the city.

Leeds surpassed cities like Cambridge, York and Manchester in terms of ‘Dynamism and Opportunity’, as well as Warwick, Cambridge and York in ‘Community, trust and belonging’.

However, on a more discouraging note, the data also exposes that Leeds scores below the national average for inclusion and equality.

Many young people are not in education or employment and so contribute to this factor. To combat this deficiency, plans will be put in place by the end of the month in an attempt to solve the issue.
