A third year is trying to raise $500k to go and fight ISIS

So far he’s raised no money

A deluded third year is trying to raise money to fly to Syria and fight ISIS.

Music Production student “Krunk Bexlock”, who refused to give us his real name, has started an Indiegogo page to fund his battle against the Islamic State in Syria.

The anonymous internet warrior, who is also co-founder of a video production troupe, has promised to “fight fire with fire.”

So how’s he going to do this? According to his Indiegogo page, the $500,000 he’s asking for will go towards things like Call Of Duty night-vision goggles, an “Assassins Creed Altair curved knife”, pet food for his dog whilst he’s away, Cuban cigars,”Super Cool Outfits” and a “Subscription to Netflix or Syrian alternative”.

We sat down with the creator of the page to talk ISIS and Indiegogo.

Is this a joke?

“I don’t joke about something as serious as this. This is a global issue, affecting millions of people: THIS IS NOT A JOKE. I need the people’s money because I’m the hero they need.”

So what made you start this campaign?

“They need to be taught a lesson, a lesson in pain but also a lesson in common courtesy to global citizens. What they did was really not on.”

Do you really think you’re the man for the job? Why not leave it to the army?

“It’s strange that the world’s armies have been chasing ISIS for decades, and been unable to eliminate the threat. Unable – or unwilling?”

Why the Assassin’s Creed knife?

“Altair is a hero of mine. The games get progressively closer to modern day and in a way I see myself as the modern reincarnation, my aim is for them to do a game about me in the future.”

So if you’re successful and you end up fighting ISIS, how many people could you take in a fight?

“Remember the matrix? the scene in the park, where Neo is taking on an army of Agent Smith clones and he’s just smashing them to pieces with a big drain pipe? It’d be like that but sandy.”

Your Indiegogo page says you’re leaving your dogs for six months. Surely you realise this may not be a good idea?

“I’m a firm believer in survival of the fittest, however much I love these dogs won’t change the facts of life. It’s a dog eat dog world. You win some and you lose some.”

Only time will tell if this campaign will take off and if it does whether the creator will be outed as a practical joker or a passionate, if not slightly delusional, vigilante.

The page currently has zero donations.
