Tonight there is a ‘Reclaim the Night’ march and we need people to come

Starts at 7pm, Glasgow Green, but marchers can join at any time

Glasgow University societies such FemSoc, Amnesty and GULGBTQ+ have teamed up with the societies of Strathclyde and Caley to “Reclaim the Night” and march in solidarity for victims of sexual assault. The Tab will also be present in light of our recent campaign to “Light up Kelvin Way.”

It will begin at 7pm at Glasgow Green.

The march marks the UN Day to End Violence Against Women. Reclaim the Night has been in motion since 2004 and there are solidarity marches throughout Britain. The aim is to end rape and forms of male violence against women.

We will be marching to reclaim our streets at night.

If you are free tonight and believe in this cause then please come to march. We will be marching from Glasgow Green to Strathclyde University.

Bring banners, lights and torches to light our way.

If you don’t want to march, please come down and support those who are.
