Students will soon be able to take the 41 bus for free to Kings’ Buildings

It’s part of a month-long pilot scheme

In two weeks time, Edinburgh students and staff will be able to take the 41 bus, operated by Lothian Buses, for free in a new pilot scheme aiming to deal with the lack of capacity in the current Shuttle Bus Service.

The service will run from March 13th until April 7th between 10am and 4:30pm each day.

All students and staff will need to do for the free ride is to show the bus driver their student card. There will also be a Priority Permit which students and staff can apply for if they have “an urgent requirement to travel.”

Throughout the month, students will be able to provide feedback on the scheme with the aim of making it permanent next academic year.

The current Shuttle Bus Service will continue to operate during the pilot scheme. Click here for full details.
