Drama starring Neil from the Inbetweeners being filmed on campus today

Keep your eyes peeled for him around George Square

A new BBC One drama, Trust Me, is being filmed on Buccleuch Place today just off George Square.

The drama stars Blake Harrison, most famous for his role as clueless sidekick Neil Sutherland in the Inbetweeners, and Jodie Whittaker, whose credits include Black Mirror, Broadchurch and St. Trinian’s.

The show will consist of four episodes focussing on a nurse who has just lost her job for whistleblowing and her subsequent struggle to provide for her daughter.

Trust Me will be set in Edinburgh with the back of the George Square Lecture Theatre acting as the hospital Whittaker’s character gets sacked from, so expect to see much more of the film crew around George Square in the near future.

The filming of the show coincides with a host of other TV shows and films that are being filmed in Edinburgh at the moment, including the new BBC Three drama centred around Edinburgh students, Clique, and the next Avengers film.
