Edinburgh has been ranked the 27th best university in the world

We’re best in Scotland as well

Edinburgh is the 27th best university worldwide.

According to the new World University Rankings, Edinburgh is in the top 30 universities in the world and is the sixth best university in the country.

Beating out all other Scottish universities, Edinburgh sits snugly alongside some of the world’s very best in this years Times Higher Education rankings.

In a successful year for Britain, which saw Oxford pip the California Institute for Technology for 1st place, Edinburgh ranked higher than established American universities like New York University and Brown.

Back at home, Edinburgh ranked higher than King’s, Manchester, Bristol, and Durham.

It was a bad year for St. Andrews, who fell out of the elite top 100. Glasgow also took a big slip to 88th, but held onto its title as the second best university in Scotland.

This year’s rankings were subject to an independent audit, making it the first global university rankings to be put to full independent scrutiny. These rankings are the truth, and nothing but the truth.

Keep killing it Edinburgh.
