A new app in Cardiff has been launched, called “Too Good To Go”, that allows customers to order leftover food from restaurants for a fraction of the price.

It has been launched to cut down on food waste and can offer food with a 90% discount.

Restaurants can sign up and portion off any leftover food to list on the app, whilst customers order and collect.

Too Good To Go’s website states: “Our mission is to place the lost value back onto food as something that should be eaten not thrown away.”

So far five restaurants have signed up: Hot Pantry Bakery, Deli Fuego, Bwyta Bwyd Bombai (3Bs) café, Papa Panda and Cathays’ own Dough.

The app is available for download on iOS and Android.

Hopefully student eats will now be cheap as chips.
