We’ve seen some wonderful things up on the stages and in the venues in Cambridge this year. Today we celebrate the best sets and their designers. Congratulations to all those nominated as well as their supporting teams.

Please vote for your best-but-not-actually-the-best-more-a-subjective-view-of-a-number-of-respondents set design(er).

Lydia Clark 

Lydia was nominated for her work on Henry IV which included the impressive recreation of the Globe Theatre on the ADC stage. She has also worked as the Master carpenter for Edward II, Lean and The Unprofessionals.

Yasmin Hafesji

Yasmin worked as the set designer for Tamburlaine the Great and the assistant designer for Henry V and the designer for Saint Joan.

Flora De Falbe

Flora was nominated for her work on the Beauty Queen of Leenane, although she only wishes to take credit for the set dressing. Her other camdram credits include costume design for The Picture of Dorian Gray and Acteon. Credit must also be given to Andreea Pirvan who was the listed Set Designer for Beauty Queen of Leenane. She has also worked as the set designer for Aceton.

Emily Jane Newton

Emily was nominated for the set design for ‘Tis Pity She’s a Whore. She can often be found working as the Publicity Designer, most recently for the Footlights Tour Show- Love Handles.

Matt Penellum

Matt was nominated for the impressive set designs of Oedipus and Antigone and Two Thirds. He also worked as the Master Carpenter for the CUADC/Footlights Panto: The Emperor’s New Clothes.
