Massive Attack and Skepta to play the Clifton Downs

Their biggest homecoming concert ever

12 years after their last major concert in Bristol, Massive Attack are set to play the Clifton Downs with Skepta and Primal Scream.

The gig is set to be the biggest homecoming concert ever for the Bristolian trip-hop legends.

The concert, which will take place on the 3rd of September, marks the 25th anniversary of their classic album Blue Lines which was inspired by Bristol’s club scene. Whether Lizard Lounge formed a part of this inspiration is unclear.

The band have sold 11 million albums worldwide and have had songs listed among the top 100 songs of all time by music magazine NME.

Although people of refined music tastes are sure to be excited by the duo’s return, gig-goers should expect large hordes of posh Bristol students masquerading as south London youths for Skepta’s grime act.

Tickets for the huge summer event will go on sale at 9am on Friday.
