The Pret on Park Street has stopped doing student discount

Yesterday the Pret store on Park Street put a stop to offering student discount.
The Pret, popular with uni students, was apparently the only one in the UK to offer a discount.
The change comes after they recently refurbished the store, expanding it, adding more seating and generally making it nicer.
Why do they hate us?
According to one of the baristas (who described himself as the “bearer of bad news”) the decision is a result of careful deliberation. He told The Tab: “Our HQ said no when we asked about continuing to offer it”.
First they take away the maintenance grants and now this. Why does everyone hate students?
