Northern Ireland is the happiest place in the UK, again

We know the craic

Northern Ireland is still the happiest place in the United Kingdom.

We rated our happiness at a 7.9 out of 10, 0.3 higher than the UK’s average and a whole 0.1 higher than where we ranked in September.

In a study conducted by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), Northern Ireland has been ranked the happiest place to live in the UK, with London being the lowest for personal wellbeing.

Jon Snow’s still loving it

Anxiety levels were slightly below the national average for Northern Ireland, but figures suggest that people in Lisburn, Castlereagh and Belfast worry the most.

A country with a tourist board which consists of promoting one of the greatest failures in 20th century’s maritime history, the Titanic and TV show Game of Thrones (where almost everyone dies) doesn’t sound like the happiest place in all the UK. Nonetheless, overall the report which measures a person’s general wellbeing shows that people are getting happier.
