How much would you pay for a Beyoncé ticket?

‘I’d rather help Kanye get out of debt’

The Queen of Music, Beyoncé, is finally coming to Cardiff on the 30th June for one night only. Let’s face it, we’re students and we’re poor, but we have to accept expenditures for the essential things in life sometimes. With tickets going for £120 and upwards, we thought it would only be right to find out how much you would pay for one of those prized Bey tickets.

Rachel Parkes, Third year, Psychology

She told us: “£35, because I think she’s very talented and I want to pay a good amount, but I dont think I could afford full price.” Rachel clearly has her priorities sorted in life.

Connor Hudson, First year, Physics

“I’ll pay for Beyonce tickets if John Barrowman sings ‘All the Single Ladies’.” John does look a bit like he’s related to Queen B, tbf.

Josh Colgrave, First year, Drama and Theatre Studies

“Beyonce is queen, I would literally pay loads to go and see her! She and Britney are pop royalty!”See, Josh understands.

William Roylance, First year, Physics

“I’d rather help Kanye get out of debt than pay for a Beyonce ticket.” We hear there’s a Gofundme page set up if you’re interested Will.

Tamira Poynter, First year, Drama and Theatre Studies

“It’d be worth paying the £120 because of the experience you get from the concert. Beyonce makes it a night to remember.”

Michael Yearby, Second year, Computer Science

“I’ll give you a Kidney. Not mine, one of my housemates.”

Dan Mason, First year, English and Creative Writing

“I’d buy it at full price, then shark it off once the show sells out.” A proper creative head, Dan is.

Sara Wilson, Second year, Scenography and Theatre Design

“I wouldnt pay, it’s not really my kind of music.”

Hope Horton, First year, Drama and Creative Writing

“I would pay whatever the asking price is; if people actually understood how much money, time and effort is spent in the making of a concert like Beyoncé’s they would appreciate paying the seemingly extortionate prices. Beyoncé doesn’t just stand there and sing, you’re paying for an experience, an outrageous show.”
