RGU students need to be taught how to use revolving doors

An email was sent after someone broke their arm

An email has been sent out to all staff and students at RGU warning them about the danger of revolving doors after someone broke their arm on campus.

The completely necessary email

Following an incident a email was sent out to all staff and student accounts with instructions on how to use them. The email was filled with tips and advice, including: “Do not push the doors hard as they will continue revolving” and “Do not try to stop or slow the doors if they are revolving.”

Pia Boehm, a fourth year Economics student, said: “It’s all a little American… and patronising if people have to be schooled about how to use revolving doors now. Can we not just use our human instincts anymore? Do we have to be educated on how to do that too?”

She also asked if we need further instructions on things like: “Why you shouldn’t put your dog in a Microwave.”

Now what we are wondering is if this is a one off, or part of a weekly email campaign helping us, RGU goers, get by our daily lives, without fear.

Let’s just say, Aberdeen uni students have had a field day and it is unconfirmed whether a dedicated victim support line is to be set up.
