Newcastle Agric Society ‘temporarily suspended’

The president, secretary and treasurer have all resigned

| UPDATED

Newcastle Agriculture society has been temporarily suspended until a ‘number of changes’ are put in place, The Tab has learnt.

The Tab was told that James Carr, who has led the group since the start of the academic year, announced on Facebook on Tuesday that a new committee is to be elected at an EGM (Extraordinary General Meeting) within the coming days.

This follows the resignation of himself, the club secretary and the club treasurer from their posts.

The Tab contacted Activities Officer, Rebecca Walker, for a statement.

More to follow.
