Bahar Mustafa is due in court over the ‘racially motivated’ message

A former union Diversity Officer is facing court over a racist tweet where she allegedly called to “kill all white men”.

Bahar Mustafa has been charged by police over the controversial Tweet, which she sent out while working for Goldsmiths University.

Scotland Yard said she had been summoned after police received a complaint of “racially motivated malicious communication”.

In a statement the Metropolitan Police said: “A woman interviewed under caution regarding a complaint of racially motivated malicious communication made on a social media network has been summonsed to court.”

It added: “Bahar Mustafa, 28, of Edmonton, Enfield has been summonsed to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on 5 November to answer charges of sending a threatening letter or communication or sending by public communication network an offensive, indecent, obscene or menacing message.”

Bahar is due in court in early November.
